Terms and Conditions

 

  1. The cottage is to be used as a private holiday residence for the occupation only of the persons specified on booking.
  2. The period of hire is from 3.00 p.m. on the day of arrival until 10.00 a.m. on the day of departure.
  3. You, the hirer of the accommodation, agree:
    1. to notify the owner of any breakage or damage prior to departure.
    2. to leave the cottage in a clean and tidy state on departure
    3. that your car is at parked at the property at your own risk and your personal possessions are left on the premises at your own risk.
  4. The proprietor may cancel your booking if the cottage becomes unsuitable for occupation due to circumstances beyond his reasonable control, such as flood or fire damage. In such a situation a full refund will be made of all sums paid, but the proprietor will have no further liability to you.
  5. A £100 deposit should be made [per week booked] and the balance is payable 6 clear weeks before commencement of the hire period. In the case of bookings within 6 weeks of the hire date, the full cost of the hire is payable  at  the time of booking.

Cancellation: There is a cancellation charge of £20 [per week booked]. If you cancel your reservation  more than 3 calendar months before the starting date of your booking, the balance of your deposit will be returned. If you cancel within 3 months of the starting date, you will be liable to pay for your booking, if the cottage is not fully relet. The return of any monies paid, including the full balance, will be dependent on the successful re-letting of the cottage for the contracted period. Cancellation Insurance is recommended.

A returnable security deposit of £100 is payable in advance either by cheque with your deposit or in cash on the day of arrival, this will be refunded to you within 5 days after your holiday, provided the accommodation has been left clean and tidy and has not incurred any loss or damages.
